In addition to our efforts to acquire the international standard for food safety management systems (ISO22000), we have also devoted increased efforts to food defense* against external purposeful attack.

* Food defense is a means of keeping food safe from planned or premeditated intentional attacks (food contamination, etc.).

II. Improving consumer response

The origins of our main raw materials are indicated on the package.

We quickly and appropriately respond to customers by accepting their requests and opinions, 365 days a year, and further enhance the coordination among the related departments through JT’s own system for food safety management.

III. Strengthening our institutional capabilities

Tokyo Quality Control Center (Ota Ward,Tokyo)

A division in charge of integrated management of food safety has been established within the beverage department and the processed foods/seasonings department, respectively. At the same time, analysis of beverage materials and products is being performed at the Tokyo Quality Control Center of TableMark. Thus, the JT Group as a whole works to promote safety management. We actively incorporate diverse knowledge and expertise into our food safety control and other business activities by seeking assessments and advice from outside experts appointed as food safety advisers.
