JT Names New Appointees to its Advisory Committee
and Compliance Committee Tokyo, June 22, 2007 ---Japan Tobacco Inc. (JT) (TSE: 2914) announced today the new appointee to its Advisory Committee and new external appointee to its Compliance Committee. The Advisory Committee was inaugurated in July 2001, as a consultative body to the company’s top management, and provides its advisory services in areas related to middle and long-term planning and other important issues. In addition, JT has announced a new external appointee to its Compliance Committee, Koichi Ueda, attorney at law, Koichi Ueda Law Offices. The Compliance Committee was established in October 2000, and meets six times yearly to deliberate and determine company’s internal compliance program.
