In the processed food business, we conduct raw material procurement based on the JT Group Responsible Procurement Policy and the JT Group Human Rights Policy. As a specific initiative, we conduct questionnaires and interviews with major primary suppliers regarding ESG to understand the status of their initiatives and share the JT Group's procurement policies. Furthermore, in 2025, to more deeply confirm human rights initiatives, the target suppliers were expanded from primary suppliers, and questionnaires and interviews were conducted with secondary and tertiary suppliers as well. As a result, our understanding of initiatives at major suppliers has advanced to a certain level, and we have confirmed that appropriate measures are in place.

Initiatives toward building a sustainable supply chain
- The JT Group Supplier Standards : Wherever we operate, we expect our business partners to share our commitment to the highest standards of business integrity, legal compliance, and responsible business practice. At the Group level, our Responsible Procurement Policy sets this expectation. It clarifies that when selecting suppliers, we take account of candidates’ compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and requires that we consider human rights, the environment, and other social responsibilities.
